I was commissioned by Royal Armouries in Leeds to create a community led mural for their Gladiator Festival weekend event. I designed the mural to look like a mosaic and then members of the public used my design to create a largescale (10m x 6m) piece of work over 2 days. It involved a lot of coordination and working alongside museum visitors (adults and children) to create a realistic mosaic using chalk on flagstones. The specifications needed to be exact for it to work but the results were very effective.
